The story “The Pantry of the Sun”, which Prishvin himself called the “fairy tale, was first published in 1945 and became the last large work of the author. Since then, it has been reprinted many times and is still read with an unhappy interest.
Early spring 1945. The last thunder rings of the military thunderstorm are still rumbling somewhere, but the liberated Russia lives already a calm, peaceful life.
