The novel-epic of the outstanding English writer of the 18th century Henry Fielding (1707-1754) was created according to the classical plot for that time, designed to show that the nobility of the family is not a guarantee of mental nobility at all, and low origin does not mean that a person is capable of baseness. The History of Tom Jones talks about an orphan young man who is brought up in a family of aristocrats and, despite the dubious origin, shows all the qualities of a true gentleman: selflessness, honesty and sincerity. As befits in such a story, it is precisely such qualities that the main character will help the main character to find happiness, and everyone who stood in the way will suffer a fair punishment ... But not this banal story made a work of filding with the classic of English literature. The History of Tom Jones is a realistic and in places a funny picture of English life and morals of that time
