For many years, the Russian nineties have been the subject of active artistic and philosophical understanding, and there is no public consensus regarding this period and in the near future, apparently, is not expected. This is partly due to the fact that the memories of this time are still too fresh and sometimes painful, partly with the fact that “the inability to explain the phenomenon to the end is evidence of its authenticity”, as one wonderful modern writer and historian, who wrote, including about nineties.
This collection includes works by three dozen writers - completely different in worldview, style, aesthetic and everyday preferences. The main thing that unites them is the sincerity of the statement and the fruitfulness of the intellectual and artistic search: "I want to understand you, I mean, I"m looking for you ..."
works included in the collection are divided into two large sections. The first included essays in genres, traditionally related to artistic literature. The second section is composed of texts that formally pass through the departments of journalism, journalism and humanitarian science, but, in our opinion, are still relevant, despite the fact that the newspaper and magazine, as is commonly believed, live one day. We tried to make stories, plays, essays, articles, essays and poems placed here entered into dialogue among themselves and complemented each other.
Many works were written twenty and even thirty years ago, many - especially for this
collection have compiled stories, essays, plays, poems of domestic writers dedicated to life in Russia in the 1990s.
