The leitmotif of the book "Gospel of Morpheus" is the theme of love. Traveling, the main character of the novel falls into a strange city, not applied to any geographical map, where a whole series of strange adventures occurs with him and where he experiences a personal love drama. The novel is an attempt to understand the essence of love. It is understanding, not experiences, since the main character analyzes and dissects his feelings, trying to transfer them from the sphere of emotions, to the sphere of intelligence.
At the same time, everything that happens is very similar to a dream or even a whole chain of dreams (conscious and not very, mystical and realistic) Life similar to sleep. Sleep as a means of overcoming death and going out to other aspects of life. Death, as one of the aspects of love. All this is intertwined together
