The Russian "King of the feuilleton" and "King of the Report of" Vlas Mikhailovich Doroshevich (1865-1922) could not deny himself a claim for another title-he created his own kingdom of a literary and ethnographic fairy tale. He wandered a lot, for the first time in China in 1897, after traveling to Sakhalin. His "Chinese tales", full of oriental exotic, inimitable folk wisdom and humor, could not mislead Russian censorship, which reported that the Russian Word newspaper, despite repeated remarks, did not stop printing the Allegorical tales of Doroshevich. The fairy tale, which gave the name of this collection, talks about how the curious Bogdyhan San Yang-ki was forced to pretend to be dead in order to pass the streets of Beijing for the first time in his life and at least in this way to find out how his people live. The first journey was the last for him - Bogdyhan, who learned the truth, the courtiers laid in the grave alive. And the first thing his heir did on the throne was chopping off his head to the court historian, the first ceremonial master and the supreme priest. And what do you order to do to the censor?
