As all Russian literature, according to F. M. Dostoevsky, came out of Gogol’s overcoat, so the whole world comedy of the New Age came out of the plays of the brilliant French playwright Jean-Batista Moliere (1622-1673) “My hero’s plays will play for three centuries on all scenes of the world,” wrote Mikhail Bulgakov in the novel about Moliere, “and it is not known when they stop playing.” His characters did not fade at all. It feels like Jourdain (a “tradesman in the nobility "), Argan (" imaginary patient "), Tartuf (" Tartuf, or deceiver ") are all our good acquaintances. An important pattern: the better the new comedy of Moliere, the more a grand scandal she caused at the court of Louis XIV. Learning themselves, Tartufs and Jourdains were prohibited, expelled their images from the stage and demanded reprisals against the author. Well, in these manifestations, the heroes of Moliere are also completely out of place. But the review of Moliere"s contemporary about one of his tanned plays is still relevant: Everyone found her miserable, and everyone was in a hurry to see her.
