Igor Nikolaevich Sukhikh (b. 1952) - Doctor of Philology, Professor of St. Petersburg University, writer, critic. The author of more than 500 scientific works on the history of Russian literature of the XIX-XX centuries, including the monographs" Problems of the Poetics of Chekhov "(1987, 2007)," Sergey Dovlatov: Time, place, Fate "(1996, 2006, 2010)," Books of XXX centuries. The book "Structure and meaning" was the result of research and teaching experience I. N. Sukhikh.
