"Stories collected in UDSI" (UDCI Sui Monogatari) - a work of medieval Japanese literature, belongs to the genre of Setsuv ("Literature of Oral Stories"), which at one time was very popular. The time of compiling the monument is not quite clear - it reached us in the later lists (the only complete list dates from 1695) It is assumed that the initial text was laid on paper at the beginning of the XIII century. "Stories collected in UDSI" consist of 197 stories in fifteen scrolls: here are legends and parables, lives and traditions, jokes and fairy tales. Many stories from Udi Sui Monogatari formed the basis of the works of later Japanese writers, such as, for example, the novels" nose "and" battles" porridge "Akutagawa Ryunoske.
