Vasily Kaolin’s verses and prose were printed in the periodicals of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and the USA. He is the author of three poetic collections ("Jesus Amazed", "Battle" and "Drunk Autumn") Some works are published in the almanacs: "Golden Book of virgin lands" (Kazakhstan), "Pearl Poetry of Kazakhstan", "Golden Stanfa" (Moscow) and "Tobol" (Kurgan) Five poems were included in the anthology "Modern Russian Abroad" (Moscow: Silver threads, 2005-2009, in 7 volumes) In 2014, the story “Shot”, based on the historical events of 1952-1953, took first place in the New Orc and was awarded the International Literary Prize named after Mark Aldanova.
