“The Sixth Kika and other stories from the life of a steam locomotive” is the long -awaited third book of Alexei Motorov, the author of the famous memories of work in Moscow hospitals at the end of Soviet times. His first book “The Young Years of the Medical Bruttes of the steam locomotive” became a bestseller and brought the writer-child the prize prize of the reader sympathy of the Literary Prize “Nose”. Then the no less successful “crime of a doctor of steam locomotive” was followed - the continuation of the adventures of the former nurse, now a certified surgeon working in Moscow in the days of the October coup of 1993. He recalls the bright moments of his life, starting from early childhood. In his inherent manner, he talks about himself and his family, about growing up against the backdrop of Brezhnev’s stagnation, about the events of the recent past and, as always, amuses the reader with incredible, but genuine cases from everyday hospital life.
