In the "Siberian novel", the author explores the life of the Siberian village from the beginning of the twentieth to the beginning of the twenty -first century, from the revolutionary land reform of P. A. Stolypin to attempts by a wealthy enthusiast to revive the collective economy in his native village. The most important events of the century were covered: the peasant war against the Bolsheviks in 1921, brutal collectivization and the exhausting, inhuman work of women and children in fields and on farms during the Great Patriotic War, the difficult post -war years of the revival of the Siberian village and its significant rise in the eighties. The so -called reform of agriculture turned into its complete oblivion and decline. The islands of prosperous agricultural holdings only emphasize the hopelessness of the villages that are not included in them.
Written in vivid folk language, the book is easily read, its heroes are genuine representatives of the peasantry, they are honest, brave and devoted to their land. Some parts of the "Siberian novel" are awarded the literary community by the award of the high prize named after V.I. Belov in Vologda.
The book is intended for a wide range of readers interested in history and rustic prose
