Victor Krivulin (1944-2001) is one of the creators of a special social and artistic environment, which later received the name of the second, or unofficial culture, and with the onset of new times recognized as the most living and productive heritage of the late Soviet era. In this book is the first full edition of the only novel by Viktor Krivulin for more than 30 years. Waiting for a search, five nameless people talk at a dead end by the corridor of a communal apartment. This dead end is simultaneously material and metaphorical - it refers to a hopeless position, to which people are doomed, unofficial culture and modern prose in the USSR of the era of stagnation.
