1911. A strange person appears on Long Island. The beginning of the XIX century, the island of Saint-Tomas. Rachel Prai is growing in the family of a Jewish merchant, whose ancestors once fled from Europe, escaping from the Inquisition. After his death, she decides to connect her life with a mysterious stranger from Europe, Frederick.
