The collection of Alexander Ivanovich Kuprin was one of his most famous works: the novels "Moloch", "Duel", "Olesya", "Pomegranate Bracelet" and the story "Emerald". Their plots are closely related to the life of the author himself. For four years, Kuprin served in the 46th Dnieper Infantry Regiment, which gave rich material for many of his works, including the story of a fight. He retired with the rank of lieutenant and, in search of his calling, changed many professions and places of residence, visited Polesie, from where he brought the plan of the story "Olesya". Love for horses found her place in the story "Emerald", the impressions of working at one of the largest steel and rail -processing plants of the Donetsk basin are described in the novel Moloch, the real story from life formed the basis of the novel Pomegranate Bracelet.
