About the book
Eg is the most mysterious inhabitant of the waters. People from the time of Aristotle tried to unravel his secrets.

In this book, the personal story of the author and the history of mankind, led by a craving for knowledge, issues of human relationships, affection and death, have intertwined.

From the author
I learned to read with the help of a book about Ugra. Mom brought her from the library and every time we reached the last page, I persuaded her to start over again. When she was finally tired, I had no choice but to continue on my own. Suddenly, I was able to connect the images of fish from all over the world with letters on the pages. The tongue came to me through the most mysterious creatures living in the depths of the ocean.

The idea to write a book lived in me for years. But once I put the pen on the paper, and as if the pieces of the puzzle fell into place.

In a small town where I come from, fishing was much more natural than writing books. I left, entered the university, but thanks to my hobby I earned a living of writing. Scripture is always a journey. After writing about eels, I found the way home again.
