Yuz Aleshkovsky (1929–2022) is a Russian writer and poet, the author of the popular “camp” songs that were not performed on the Soviet stage, nevertheless gained fame among the people, they were warmly loved and sang, without even knowing the author’s name. Peru Aleshkovsky also owns works such as “Nikolai Nikolaevich”, “Kangaroo”, “camouflage” and others, which also won folk love, although in the writer’s homeland most of them were published only years after the creation. According to Joseph Brodsky, in the person of Aleshkovsky, we are dealing with the unique type of writer “as a tool of language”, there are few such examples in Russian literature: Nikolai Gogol, Andrey Platonov, Mikhail Zoshchenko ... “Sentimental richness is brought to it to the limits of mocking, fiction “To the phantasmagoric,” Brodsky wrote, this is “a genuine orphic: a poet who completely subjugated himself to the tongue and received a gift from revelation and homeric laughter from his bounty.”
