The protagonist of this fascinating and tough novel "Rat King" has a strange profession: he is a specialist in deratization. His kannibal rats destroy their own kind, so that they never return to old housing.
There are three storylines in the novel: the meeting of the protagonist with an old friend who was captured by Mujahideen, as well as with a cousin who turned out to be an employee of the Stasi (Ministry of State Security of the GDR) and the son of the Nazi. The second line is the story of the grandfather of the hero, an action movie of the Socialist -Revolutionary Maximalist. And, finally, the third is the story of the hero’s aunt, who found himself in the French fascists.
The time of action of the novel is from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day.
