In 2009, Melker Garaye was admitted to the Swedish Union of Writers. In 2012, he was elected a member of the Swedish branch of the Pen Club. Since 2014, he is a member of the Chilean Writers" Union.
Melker Garay is a regular participant in international book fairs, writing meetings and presentations.
His books received high grades of the reading public and literary criticism in different countries - in Sweden and in Russia, in France and Chile
