The satirical fairy tale of Fazil Iskander "Rabbits and Bucks" (1973) was published only 13 years after its creation, when the "rabbits" slightly dared, and the “boaver” slightly loosened the grip. However, to see in a deep philosophical parable only the anger of the day would be too superficial and frivolous. In conditions of political lack of freedom, hypocrisy and double morality, hunters and victims form bizarre and ugly communities, from which it is not easy to break out. And this path is very long and thorny, for several decades it may not be enough for him ... As always, Iskander is wise and aphoristic. "Your hypnosis is our fear. Our fear is your hypnosis. " "Cruelty is the courage of panties." "Lost ideal begins to idealize victory. Remember: where they say a lot about victories - either they forgot the truth, or hide from it. And finally, again and again relevant: "They swallow us, and we sing!"
