The novel of the Angolan writer and journalist Zhuza Eduard Agualuza (Pode. 1960) is dedicated to the legendary queen and national heroine Zhinga Mbanda (c. 1583-1663), which attracted the writer with the complexity of character and an unusual fate. History is told by the queen secretary - the Brazilian Padre. The author is trying to rethink the events of the era, casts into question the conclusions of European historiography, which assists the Africans with a passive role in the past. The novel was created with the involvement of historical literature, scientific sources and equipped with extensive comments. The publication is addressed to all those interested in modern African literature
