The book is dedicated to Pushkin’s landowner, materials about Pushkin’s relationship with his peasants. The book contains so far not used materials with economic and economic content. Pavel Eliseevich Shchegolev (1877 - 1931) - historian of literature and social movement. Shchegolev is one of the largest Pushkinists at the beginning of the 20th century, the author of the documentary study "Duel and the death of Pushkin". Shchegolev found and first published a large number of documents related to Pushkin (including the diary of A. N. Wulf, materials about Pushkin’s relationship with his peasants), collected and studied the certificates of foreign diplomats about Pushkin. Shchegolev proposed his own concept of events that led to Pushkin"s death.
