Elsa Triole (1896–1970) - Sister Lily Brik and friend Vladimir Mayakovsky, in 1918 she emigrated to France. In the 1920s, Triola became a writer and married Louis Aragon, later she had been in the USSR more than once, where her books were published in large circulations, but the Soviet public published in Moscow in 1928 received the Soviet public coolly. It is about this work about the lonely young emigrant Barbara and her friendship with the aristocrat Lucille. This is how two barely intersecting worlds encounter: a Frenchwoman’s orderly bourgeois life is not at all like the half-worship of the Russian exile, who is huddled in a cheap guesthouse, but their relationship holds something more important than any cultural and social differences. This has never reprinted the novel not only an insightful, but also a purely feminine look at pre -war emigration, so it goes out in our series of Open and memoir prose of undeservedly forgotten Russian writers of the XIX - XX centuries
