The name of Zoe Kosmodemyanskaya became a symbol of heroism during the Great Patriotic War. Her younger brother Shura, who, following the example of his sister, went to the front, he died heroically in less than a month before the victory.
This story is about their short life (brother and sister died, barely reaching adulthood) She is mainly about the family, about childhood and growing up: about how the little responsible Zoya took care of Shura, how she studied at school, how early she matured after the death of her father, what books she read, what she wrote down in her notebook, which she argued with friends ... The image of Shura, mischievous, talented, not always predictable is very charming.
On the pages of the story there is an image of Lyubov Timofeevna herself - a mother who lost both children, in the soul of which the pain of loss and pride in their feats were tragically intertwined.
The story of L. T. Kosmodemyanskaya literary was processed by the writer, journalist and teacher Frida Vigdorova, who put his talent and his understanding of the children"s and teenage soul in this book.
