This is not an ordinary travel book. National Geographic Traveler Columnist Daria Alavidze travels a lot to different countries and cities, but describes not sights and museums (hundreds of books have been written about this), but street living life and stories that happen with her along the way. That is how - “on the road” - and the “plantain” was compiled - the diary of observations of what is happening in interesting decorations of ancient cities and exotic countries. The plots of the life of ordinary heroes, bakers, tramps, rustic crazy, musicians, grumbling old women on the street, touching lovers of students, fantasiers-designers, found and ordinary passers-by are formed in lyrical stories, are overgrown with colorful details, mixed with city legends and historical details Facts.
And the Israeli artist Regina Shafir based on these plots created wonderful and very funny illustrations
