Persian language and literature in Dagestan

This work is dedicated to the poorly studied issue of Persian cultural influence on Dagestan. The topic of the formation and development of the Persian language and literature in Dagestan is considered in the context of the historical, socio-economic and artistic and aesthetic aspect of relations between Iran and Dagestan. To reveal the topic, the extensive material of Persian and Arab manuscripts, lithographs, old printed books and epistolary sources, bio -bibliographic reference books in the Arabic and Persian languages, unpublished documents of the Central House of RD, as well as the works of Dagestan scientists - archaeologists, folklorists and literary studies were involved. The work created creative portraits of Persian -speaking Dagestan scientists and poets, the experience of cultural mutual influence on the examples of Dagestan Muhajir in Iran was demonstrated. This study may become the basis for the further study of the inter -civilizational dialogue of the peoples of Dagestan and Iran.
