The new novel by Alexei Makushinsky, the son of the famous prose writer Anatoly Rybakov. Alexey Makushinsky is a laureate of the Russian Prize and twice the finalist of the "Big Book". His prose is often compared with the prose of Marcel Proust: long stylistic periods, figurative descriptions, exceptional attention to the psychology of heroes and history. Yas (Yakov Semenovich), art critic, met and made friends with a young man in the early 80s in the Pushkin Museum.
