The author is trying to find the answer - why the Russian peoples in the twentieth century, a great tragedy befitted, slowed down the development of spiritual and moral forces.
Why did they surrender to someone else’s, evil will and crushed the best features of the soul in themselves - some died at all, others became executioners, others, from intimidation, turned into a limp population?
Why was the richest inner world of peoples to be reduced to a state when they believed in deception? Who brought moral blindness in order to recognize everything low and alien to valor and heroism? Human life, only one link in an endless chain, a great process of nature, which stretches from the depths of centuries that has passed into an infinite future.
The top of the authorities of three generations did not decorate this chain, did not strengthen the strength with high affairs.
People now, continue to live not according to concepts, but out of habit
