Benya speaks little, but he speaks deliciously. The wonderful Russian writer Isaac Babel (1894-1940), like his legendary hero Benya Crick, spoke and wrote deliciously - no one knew how to do so. He tried to collect his bright and concise novels in cycles and books. However, his ideas were often not completed. Therefore, they have to guess about them, and books are reconstructed. The basis of this collection is the Odessa Stories Cycle with the novels adjacent to it, the play "Sunset" and the film presentation "Benya Crick", which gives the stories of Babel characters. "History of my dove ”is a reconstruction of an incomplete autobiographical book. He speaks little, but I want him to say something else. Alas, he did not say - he was shot in Butyrskaya prison on false accusations of "anti -Soviet conspiratorial terrorist activities".
