Sergey Diev is the author of five books of poems and plays. Roman -Khronika "New Renaissance - 2019" - the first sample of the pen in this genre. And, as he has, is not very ordinary. The autobiographical hero of the novel is convinced that the time has come for the new Renaissance. The hero’s life and downs of the hero are unique: the family of artists of the Small Theater of the USSR, an urgent army service in Germany, creative work on television, in newspapers, clubs, the production of his plays in theaters, a dissident link from Moscow. In the novel there is even an interview with the judge to the author. Moreover, life is sometimes shown, as in the times of antiquity, through poetry and drama. The author believes that civilization was lost in soullessness, scarce of thinking and ridiculous deformation in art. That is, the loss of spiritual, mental and aesthetic guidelines. A religious component of life, alas, is minimal. In a word, a new Renaissance is needed!
