For the first time in Russian, the novel "Film" (1976) and the novel "Forgiving" (1984) of the outstanding Hungarian writer Miklos Mesya (1921-2001), a key figure with which modern Hungarian literature began. “All our modern prose, I think, just from this overcoat and came out of Miklosha Mesya” (L. Serveni) The worldly recognized authors, such as Peter Estherkhazi, Laszlo of Krasnachorkai, Peter Nadash, openly recognized Mesya as their teacher. This publication will not only pave the way to the Russian reader to the origins of modern Hungarian prose, but will also give pleasure from acquaintance with really wonderful works that go beyond the so -called small national literature.
