Parisian teacher Natalie moves with his family south of France, to a small quiet old town of Yuzes. Each time she advises her wards to read books that will tell them what to do, but this is not the work of psychologists and novels. Natalie has feedback with these people: they become her friends, and communication with them helps her in difficult times when it is necessary to establish relations with an adult daughter and cope with anxiety during her husband"s illness
