Most researchers perceive the poetry of Tadeusz Ruzhevich (1921-2014) as atheistic or interpreted in the spirit of postmodernism. The Polish literary critic Uzef Maria Rushar represents her vision, based not only on the deep study of the work of the outstanding poet, but also on knowledge in the field of philosophy, Catholic theology, Christian symbolism, and above all the Bible. In the discussion about the possibility of an objective interpretation of a literary work, he stands in the position of Umberto Eco, claiming that objectivity is possible.
The book allows you to get acquainted with the little -known pages of Ruzhevich’s biography, as well as trace a thoughtful analysis of religious and, in particular, Christian motives in his work. In it, the reader will also find translations of Ruzhevich poems, many of which are published for the first time. The book was published as part of the cooperation of the publishing house Ivan Limbach and the Institute of Literature, established in 2019 by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. One of the main goals of the institute is the popularization of high Polish culture and literature
