The writer and journalist Philip Lanson was an employee of the weekly Charlie Ebdo. During a terrorist attack in January 2015, he was seriously wounded in the face, but, fortunately, he survived.
In the memoirs called by him "flap", Lanson scrupulously, step by step, describes his return to life after numerous complex operations to restore the face. The work of doctors, support for friends, music and books - this is what returned him to life.
In France, the book diverged 600,000 copies.
It is translated into thirty languages.
I was always annoyed by writers who claimed that they write every phrase as if it were the last phrase in their life. This means either to attach too much importance to its composition, or too little the importance of life itself. But I did not know that the attack would make me live every minute as if it were the last line.

You can’t run away from hell, where you have already got it, it cannot be destroyed. I could not destroy either the violence, whose victim was, nor the one who tried to weaken its consequences.
