The completion of the dilogy of Louis-Ferdinand Selina (1894-1961), begun by the novel Gang Gignolela. The writer worked on the London Bridge until 1947. For a long time, the manuscript was considered lost, it was found only after the death of Selin and was published in 1964.
After the noisy success of the first novels (“Journey to the edge of the night”, “Death on credit”), after scandalous racist and kind -unanimous pamphlets, Selin returns to fiction, telling the story of his London exile, prostitutes, swindlers and crazy inventors. "The main character in which the author himself easily recognizes is easily recognized from the heart. He rushes between forbidden love and an involuntary crime, forced to live like a razor"s blades.
The books of the collaborator Selina were banned both in Nazi Germany and in Vichi France. A tender feeling torn from the heart did not make the world more favorable to the writer, rather, on the contrary ... Everything in the life of this brilliant nihilist happened the other way around
