In his famous novel, “Castle”, the Austrian writer and founder of modernist prose, Franz Kafka addresses the theoretical issue of a person’s search for his path to God. The artistic space of the novel is metaphorically divided into the world of the earth (village) and the world of heaven (the castle itself), which are out of time and symbolizing one of the main postulates of the Christian doctrine - the mercy and inseparability of earthly and heavenly life.
The whole life of the protagonist K. is taking shape, like a bizarre kaleidoscope, from situations and stories of surrounding people and love history. The main character in stages passes the path of spiritual growth, development and acceptance of himself as a person in his earthly life, so that through cold, fatigue and constant obstacles to come to the heavenly castle. The collection includes other famous stories and short stories of the author, as well as his famous philosophical “aphorisms”
