In his famous novel, “Castle”, the Austrian writer and founder of modernist prose, Franz Kafka addresses the theoretical issue of a person’s search for his path to God. The artistic space of the novel is metaphorically divided into the world of the earth - the village and the world of heaven - the castle itself, which is outside of time, and symbolizing one of the main postulates of Christian creed and the mercy and inseparability of earthly and heavenly life. The whole life of the protagonist is formed, like a bizarre kaleidoscope, from situations, stories of people around and love history. The main character in stages passes the path of spiritual growth, development and acceptance of himself as a person in his earthly life, so that through cold, fatigue and constant obstacles to come to the heavenly castle.
