"Books of Jacob" by historicity, scope and plot are compared with the epic novel by L. Tolstoy "War and Peace". For Olga Tokarchuk, who received the Nobel Prize for literature in 2018, this work is a kind of Magnum Opus, which even entered the short list of the Buker Prize.
This is the first edition in Russia with an original art design, echoing in style with ancient frescoes. Page numbering is preserved, as in the original - it comes from the end, maintaining the practice of reading a book from left to right.
