This is the first full collection of stories by ZVI Preigerzon (1900 - 1969) - a writer who lived in the USSR and created in Hebrew, a language who was banned from the first years of Soviet power. A native of Shepetovka, Preigerzone can be safely called the chronicler of the Jewish town in the most terrible years - pogroms of the civil war, the Holocaust, Stalin"s persecution - that fell to the share of immigrants from the surprisingly original world, who went to the bottom of history, like the legendary Atlantis.
The book “In the forests of the plowing” is amazing, stunning - how can the cry of a huge crowd in the square be stunned. - Dina Rubin this man kept Hebrew fire, preventing him from fading away. - Professor Michael Zand, Literature Researcher
ZVI Preigerzon was a rare occurrence in Hebrew literature and not so ordinary in Jewish history. He had as if double spiritual citizenship - Soviet and Jewish. - Aaron Meged, Israeli writer
