“In silence” is a narrative whose main character is silent through almost the entire text. Perhaps his only occupation - listening to the hum of the sea, in which the world and the beginning of the tongue are revealed. But silence suddenly manifests itself as an area of thought saturated with emotions, and an extremely neutral, “white” style gradually passes into biographical memories. Or rather, the inability to clearly recall the mother, childhood, even relatively recent events.
The story is complemented by several prosaic miniatures, also exploring the relationship between speech and silence, childhood and old age, philosophy and fiction
