July 1921. The peasant uprising led by Antonov is almost defeated. The surviving Antonovites disappeared in the forests in the southeast of the Tambov province. The “communist squad” is hunting for them along with the regimental commissar Oleg Mezentsev. He wants to take the rebels captured, but they suddenly have enemies more serious - a gang of one -eyed tyryshka. The tyryshka confronts everyone who does not hear the distant, mysterious rumble. This hum is beckoning, enchants, captures, starts deeper into the forest - to where not ideas and people get dominated by, but the hopeless malice of the bandit of the tyryshki
