Anna Aleksandrovna Kirpishchikova (1838-1927) was born on a Kama in the family of factory serfs. In the era of democratic transformations, the main teachers of the future writer were books and genuine life, therefore, Kirpishchikova’s work is characterized by “direct view” on the people, a truthful disclosure of everyday life, including all his unsightly sides. For the first time, the story Antip Grigoryich Merezhin was printed in the magazine Contemporary in 1865. In the form of the tale (the narrative is conducted on behalf of the village old woman), it describes the fate of a simple Russian woman Barbara, pursued by the mother -in -law - a fist and a family despot. In the stories “How they lived in Kumor” and “Parsley Rudomettov”, the life of the factory artisans is shown. Drawing working youth, Kirpishchikova does not romantic their heroes, she invariably remains a realist both in the description of everyday life and in the disclosure of characters.
