Esperanza is ashamed of the house on Mango Street, in which she lives with her huge noisy family, she dreams of growing rather, escape from her hometown and become a writer. Esperans observes neighbors: their life is very difficult, but they, by some miracle, manage to be happy. Although there is nothing strange in this, poverty is nothing, if you are strong in spirit, you can’t be sad, strive for freedom and faithful to dreams
