In the center of the novel is the fate of the Tegeran family of Fattah: grandfathers, his son and daughter -in -law, and their children. The plot covers the period from the time of the Pahlavi dynasty (1933) and until today, the background is historical events and shocks through which Iran went in the 20th century: Shah reforms, revolution, war, attempts to westernize and the desire of people to defend their original traditions and the image life. However, in the focus of the author’s consideration is not only politics and history, how much a person himself, his contradictory inner world, his growing up and the formation of his personality, a dialogue with himself and with God, love and death. The story of the life of the family replaces the immersion in the subjective world of the thoughts of the main character, where time becomes nonlinear and the text fills the memories, associations, thoughts, paints, feelings, smells. Among all this variegated kaleidoscope, the main image is highlighted in a bright spot - the beloved, the daughter of the neighbors - the beauties of Makhtab, who tragically died during the Ira -Iraq war during the bombing of Tehran. This novel is a subtle, deep reflection on the mortality of existence, about the inevitability of death and immortality, about the essence of love and the relationship of man with God. The book is addressed to a wide range of lovers of fiction.
