The story of the Swiss writer Johanna Shpuri transfers readers to a small alpine village, where the girl Heidi and her grandfather live. Heidi is funny, cheerful, mischievous, with a kind and responsive heart. She loves mountains, wind, sky, powerful trees. Heidi"s cheeks are always ruddy, because she drinks goat milk, sleeps on the hayloft and wanders around the mountains with her bosom friend - a shepherd Peter. Heidi cares about grandfather, and she also knows how to prick firewood and get in the house. This girl is like the sun, she illuminates the life of people with a bright light with whom and gives them joy. But once Heidi is separated from the mountains and taken to a big city, to a rich family where her disabled peer lives. In this family, Heidi gains faith and becomes a Christian. By faith in Heidi, the Lord makes many good changes in her life and the life of the people around her
