The book consists of works about the poetic world of Mandelstam. The first part - "Time -Space" - refers to the perception of time, about the St. Petersburg topic, about the space of Voronezh lyrics, about the special artistic vision of Mandelstam and its visual -spatial images. The second part of the book - the "Event of the Poetry" - is devoted to individual poems of 1918-1937, ranging from the poetic understanding of the revolution ("Twilight of Freedom") and ending with the last poem of the Voronezh link, a model of Mandelstam"s love lyrics ("" to empty land involuntarily falling ... ) The history of the creation of verses is told, individual motives and images are commented, their meaning is clarified - all this is built into the poet’s poetic biography. The third part is "verbal painting" - we are talking about the connections of Mandelstam’s poetry with plastic arts, his poems are understood here, written on the images of painting, ceramics, and porcelain. The conversation about verses is accompanied by illustrations. The fourth part of the book is a story about the Mandelstam trip to Armenia in 1930, about his prose "journey to Armenia" in comparison with the Pushkin’s journey to Arzrum, about the verses of the Armenian cycle
