“A heap, or playing with fire” is a novel-investigation that reveals the driving forces of the “secret history” of Russia, the confrontation of supporters of the total westernization of the country and its best people who counteract Russia into a colonial appendage of Western civilization. Using the archival materials classified until recently, the author recreates the spirit and psychological atmosphere of the past century, withdrawing real faces without masks - L.I.? Brezhnev, M.A.? Suslova, Yu.V.? Andropova, B.N.? , V.V.? Putin and others. The main event unfolds in 1997-2001 around the largest gas concern, promoting its person to the Kremlin in accordance with the scenario in Washington. The competing group-the Association of former employees of the KGB liquidated by Yeltsin-neutralizes the actions of the Gas Mafia, holds its protege as president of Russia, planning to restore the imperial statehood-the Russian-Eurasian Continental Union.
