The action of the works of Vladimir Vladmeli takes place in a variety of places: at customs between the Soviet Union and Romania, in the suburbs of Rome, in Minneapolis and in New York. His heroes, finding himself in the United States, understand that it is not without reason that many Americans greet each other not traditional “how are you?”, But less traditional, but much better reflecting life with the question: “How is the battle?” They also fight for their happiness, for the realization of their dreams. They experience victories and defeats, grief and joy, they argue with their superiors, quarrel and reconcile. The author describes their adventures with a lively, figurative language. His works have a lot of humor, but, laughing at funny episodes, I want to cry.
