The Angelovo estate is not a background for action, but a "center of power" of two large families, it is associated with it for Kondratyev and angel love, loss, betrayal, dedication, creativity, happiness. And everything that happens with the main characters, and then with their children and grandchildren, was covered with the mysticism of the old house, the werewolf wasteland, the spring in the Angelsky Park. Maybe the Angel really stores this area, which disappeared into the civil war along with part of the family collection, but invisibly present in the fate of the heroes? The basis for the novel was the script of a multi -part feature film
