I work with words and silence. With unspoken. With secrets, regrets, shame. With irrevocable, with disappearing, with memories. I work with yesterday’s pain and with today"s pain. With revelations. And with the fear of death.
All this is part of my profession.
But if there is something in my work that continues to surprise, even amazing me, something from which, after ten years of practice, sometimes I sometimes catch my breath, then this is undoubtedly durability pain experienced in childhood. Burning wounds, not healing for many years. The bitterness of resentment, which is not erased from memory.
Speech therapist is trying to help an elderly lady named Misha, who is losing his words day after day. But Misha does not give peace: she did not thank the couple that saved her during the Second World War. She does not even know their last name, but asks her pupil Marie to give an ad in the newspaper.
Is there a chance that Misha will still be able to find these people and express her gratitude? And will she have enough words for this?
