The International Children and Youth Literary Competition named after Ivan Shmelev "Summer of the Lord" is held with the blessing of the Holy Patriarch of the Moscow and All Russia by Kirill by the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, together with ANO "Center for Spiritual and Educational Programs named after St. Filaret of Moscow "since 2014 in three age groups: 6-7, 8-9 and 10-12 grades. This publication contains works of finalists of the competition of three seasons: 2014-2017. The creative works of young authors are devoted to the landmark anniversary and events of the history of the Fatherland and the Russian Church: the 1000th anniversary of the elderly of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles of Prince Vladimir, the 700th anniversary of the birth of St. Sergius of Radonezh, the 1000th anniversary of the Russian presence on the Holy Mount Athos, and so it is The fate of ordinary people, the sacrament of the acquisition of faith, the desire for life in the gospel commandments, regardless of difficulties and tests. The collection includes articles of teachers and writers, members of the competitive commission and the expert council of the competition. The publication will be useful to teachers and parents who make efforts to develop interest in literary creativity among children and adolescents, as well as future young participants in the literary contest of the Summer of the Lord ".
